How to Support ResearchWe invite you or your foundation to support CCFA's research program, which will help us in our quest to find better treatments for, and eventually the prevention and cure of, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The Foundation's research program has four major goals: • To identify and fund the best peer-reviewed, investigator-initiated research in IBD; • To provide money that allows investigators to generate enough preliminary data to compete for funding at the National Institutes of Health (NIH); • To encourage outstanding investigators to choose a career in IBD research; and • To identify and support emerging areas of research that could enhance our understanding of the causes and disease course of IBD. CCFA Research Programs- Provided more than $127 million for over 1000 research awards since 1967.
- Receive more than 200 IBD research grant applications per year
- Fund approximately 100 new IBD research grants annually
In fact, CCFA funds only the very best IBD research that is taking place, no matter where that may be. Thus, an investment in CCFA is an investment in our quest for the cure. There are a variety of ways, large and small, that individuals and organizations can support CCFA's ongoing research efforts directly: Sponsor a GrantOpportunities to sponsor and name grants range from $3,000 to $150,000 or more.
