First-Ever National Study of Dietary Interventions to Treat Crohn's Disease Receives Funding

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) announced today that it was awarded $2.5 million from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) to study the effectiveness of the specific carbohydrate diet and Mediterranean-style diet to induce remission in patients with Crohn’s disease.

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) announced today the passing of co-founding member, philanthropist, entrepreneur and lawyer, Irwin M. Rosenthal. Motivated by his wife Suzanne’s struggle with Crohn’s disease, Irwin, along with William and Shelby Modell, and Dr. Henry D. Janowitz, founded the Foundation for Research in Ileitis, now known as the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. It was the combination of his tenacity, compassion and love for his wife that put CCFA on the road to success.

Camp Oasis: Life-Changing Experience for Children with Crohn’s & Colitis

Camp Oasis is the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America’s (CCFA) summer camp program that enriches the lives of children with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis by providing them with a safe and supportive camp community. CCFA runs 12 week-long camp sessions across the country, attracting not only campers but also hundreds of volunteer counselors and medical professionals.
