CRAFT is the inaugural craft cocktail competition fundraising event benefiting the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) North Texas chapter. “Mixologists” from area restaurants and bars will convene at the event to compete in a craft cocktail competition where a panel of local celebrity judges will select the winner.

The 9th Annual Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon, presented by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, will be held on Friday, April 28th from 10:30am to 1:00pm at the Fairmont Hotel. The 2017 Women of Distinction Honorees Anne Lewis, Board Chair, Oxford Development Company Vonda Wright, Orthopedic Surgeon and Author, UPMC Vicki McKenna, Member, St. Clair Hospital Foundation Board The Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon is our signature fundraising event locally for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, and the proceeds support our mission to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. While the Foundation is the leader in cutting edge research, we also provide education and support services to patients, families and health professionals in Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. More than 30,000 children and adults in our region are impacted by Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and significant research for cures and treatments is also conducted locally. The target audience for this conference includes IBD medical professionals. The purpose of this symposium is to provide up-to-date information on the pathogenesis of the disease process, as well as evidence-based recommendations on the management and monitoring of IBD and other inflammatory and autoimmune disorders. Through this course, the gap between state of the art practice and current practices will be closed in order to provide a high quality, comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patients with IBD. We believe this approach will improve the quality of care provided to patients, decrease the risk of complications and morbidity, and reduce the overall burden of IBD on the patient and society.
