Take Steps for Crohn’s & colitis is a family friendly community walk dedicated to raising mission critical funds and awareness for Crohn's disease & ulcerative colitis, collectively known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Over the past 7 years we have raised nearly $60 million in the search for cures for these debilitating digestive diseases. Join us in 2015! Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis is CCFA’s largest fundraising event having touched over 240,000 people and raised nearly $60M to help further the Foundation’s mission. Our Take Steps walks offer a wonderful day for family, friends and the community to celebrate all of the efforts that have been put forth in raising funds towards our mission. Our walk events are filled with live music, food, kids’ entertainment, educational materials, and, of course, wonderful exposure for our corporate partners. Beginning at 3:00 PM with Check-In and Festival, Take Steps Orange County's walk event begins in William R. Mason Regional Park (18712 University Dr, Irvine, CA 92612) with a festival setting. Participants are treated to free food, drinks, games, prizes, kids zone, and informational and interactive booths. The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, Greater New York Chapter invites patients, families and caregivers living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis to the educational program Understanding Inflammatory Bowel Diseases: What Every Patient Needs to Know. Consisting of a live and interactive presentation by Dana Lukin, MD, Ph.D, Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine (Gastroenterology & Liver Diseases), and Gastroenterologist at Montefiore Medical Center. Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are chronic digestive disorders of the intestines. These illnesses are collectively known as inflammatory bowel diseases, or IBD, because many of their symptoms and complications are similar. It is estimated that some 1.6 million Americans suffer from IBD.

Bass Lake, California
Come to Bass Lake with Team Challenge, America's friendliest and most scenic triathlon. Swim in picturesque Bass Lake, voted one of California's most beautiful lakes. Then bike around the lake on a challenging roads through the Sierra National Forest. Finish up with a run along the lakeshore to the finish line and the grand BBQ and Awards Ceremony.
