Each chapter brings the work of the entire Foundation to their local community. You can make a difference by connecting and participating with your local chapter.

  • Connect with others who are struggling to cope with inflammatory bowel diseases  (IBD) through one of our 200 support groups.
  • Attend live education seminars and programs geared for patients and health care professionals.

  • Ride or volunteer for Get Your Guts in Gear: The Ride for Crohn’s and Colitis to help support CCFA.

IBD Clinical Trials Workshop: Principles & Practice

CCFA’s Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Clinical Trials Workshop is an educational five-session course focusing on current topics in IBD clinical investigation. Topics include effective clinical trial management, recruitment strategies, designing clinical protocols that reflect patient considerations, and shifting views on clinical trial end points. This workshop is chaired by Hans Herfarth, MD, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; Peter Higgins, MD, University of Michigan; and Alandra Weaver, MPH, CCFA. It is a great forum for professionals from various areas of the IBD field to discuss how the future of IBD clinical trials can be shaped from their unique perspectives. Broad participation is expected from academia, pharmaceutical and device industries, government agencies, medical centers, and clinical research organizations. Those involved in clinical IBD research, nurses, study coordinators, and clinical research associates are invited to attend.
