We have a vast network of  more than 40 CCFA chapters and affiliates nationwide—each with its own volunteer board and Chapter Medical Advisory Committee. Each chapter brings the work of the entire Foundation to their local community. You can make a difference by connecting and participating with your local chapter.

  • Join Take Steps Be Heard, our nationwide fundraising walk program that makes it possible for us to fulfill our mission and meet our goals.
  • Test your limits with Team Challenge, our endurance training program.
  •  Send your child to Camp Oasis—our local and regional summer camps for children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
  • Connect with others who are struggling to cope with inflammatory bowel diseases  (IBD) through one of our 300 support groups.
  • Attend live education seminars and programs geared for patients and health care professionals.
  • Stay informed about upcoming seminars, support groups, and events in your local community through your chapter newsletter or national newsletter.
  • Ride or volunteer for Get Your Guts in Gear: The Ride for Crohn’s and Colitis to help support CCFA.

Team Challenge Turkey Trot

What are You Thankful For?! Team Challenge is ready to trot out just in time for Thanksgiving with our first ever Turkey Trot to benefit the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America! On Thanksgiving Day, run a 5k - anywhere! When you run on Thanksgiving, we promise it’s going to be a great way to start your Turkey Day! Register for ONLY $35. Everyone who registers receives an awesome die-cast medal and personalized bib! Your Turkey Trot can officially take place anytime, anywhere on Thursday, November 27th (Thanksgiving Day). Many of you may have local Turkey Trots going on in your area - these are ideal platforms, or you can coordinate a short distance run with some of your friends. You can even participate virtually! A virtual run means you can run (or walk) the distance you choose (5K, 10K, even noK) at your own location. It’s that easy! You don’t even have to run or walk to receive your medal and bib (but we certainly hope you do). In order to receive your medal and personalized bib, please register by 11/26/14.
