Programs

Welcome to the Tennessee Chapter!

There are a multitude of ways that you can become better acquainted with CCFA, and we would love to welcome you into our family of friends! We want to provide patients and their families with all of the education and support services they need, and provide anyone who would like to participate in our events or volunteer with plenty of opportunities. Take a look at our list of programs, we know there will be something to fit your needs!

Education and Support Programs

CCFA Partners is a unique opportunity for you to contribute to advances in your own care, and has the unprecedented potential to improve the quality of life of patients everywhere. Join the 10,000 people who are already helping us build this legacy of knowledge for a better future!

By completing a short, confidential survey about your current quality of life and providing occasional updates on your health, you can shape researchers' understanding of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. This will ultimately help us reach the goal of rapid research progress, better treatments, and cures. In return, we will update you every three months and provide you with educational information about these diseases and their treatments. Take the survey, see the latest statistics, or learn more at www.ccfapartners.org. You must have Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis in order to join CCFA Partners.

Do you need someone to talk with about Crohn's or colitis? Are you newly diagnosed or experiencing new symptoms or treatment? Want insights from someone who's been down the same path? Then contact the Tennessee Chapter to learn more about the Power of Two!

Power of Two is a Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America support program that connects people facing challenges brought on by living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Individuals seeking help are matched with a peer mentor who has experienced similar medical and personal concerns. Power of Two peer mentors are trained to support participants through two phone, email, or video chat exchanges. The program is open to people with Crohn's or colitis and those children, family members, or other loved ones with these diseases. Anyone over the age of 10 can apply to be a mentor to provide insights into living with Crohn's and colitis. (Individuals under the age of 18 will need parent/guardian consent.)

Whether you are seeking support or are willing to help others as a peer mentor, please contact Michelle Chianese at mchianese@ccfa.org, or (615) 356-0444 to learn more about the Power of Two!

How to Donate

Workplace Giving

CCFA Tennessee is a proud participant in the workplace giving campaign of Community Health Charities, among many other companies that provide an avenue for their team to give to their charity of choice. Look for our foundation name and agency code in your company campaign. If you don’t find us, please ask your employer to add CCFA.

Matching Gifts

Many companies across the state of Tennessee offer Matching Gift programs, where employees can make a donation, and the company will match their gift with an additional donation to CCFA. Some organizations even match 2:1, doubling the amount that the donor originally gave!

Donate Stock

Looking to donate to CCFA, but not sure how to do it? We even accept stocks as donations, if you are interested in learning about this program, please contact the local chapter today!
