BAD WEATHER REMINDER: On the evenings that we have a Finneytown CCFA Support Group meeting scheduled, please check WKRC-TV Channel12 for closing information either on their web site or scrolling across the bottom of their screen during their newscasts.  We will be listed as FAMILY LIFE CENTER – FINNEYTOWN

In March, our speaker will be Kristen Timperman who has been a member of our group for some time.  Copied below is a message from Kristen to all of you.

Hello!  For everyone who does not know me, my name is Kristen Timperman, and I am a 6th year pharmacy student at Ohio Northern University.  I will be graduating this May with my doctor of pharmacy degree and am currently completing 1 month rotations in Cincinnati.  A rotation is basically where I work at a different type of pharmacy site each month to gave different hands-on experiences such as working at a Walgreens, hospital, or Coumadin clinic.

Just like you,  I am a member of the support group, and was diagnosed with Crohn's my freshman year of college.  This March at our support group meeting, I have volunteered to give a presentation on the medications used in the treatment of Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's disease.  I have not yet made the presentation and want to make it as beneficial as possible for you!  Please help me in accomplishing this goal by emailing me with any medication questions, concerns, or topics you would like covered.  My email address is k-timperman@onu.edu .   I will definitely be including an overview of currently available medication treatment options, and I will research and discuss any medications that may be coming out on the market in the future.  I am very excited to present at the March meeting, and I hope to see you there!

Free child care is available with one week’s notice.  Child care is provided in the church nursery across the parking lot from the FLC.  Call 931-5777 to reserve.
