Support Groups:
CCFA support groups provide patients and their loved ones with an opportunity to meet others like themselves who are affected by Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis. Meetings are held in a socially-oriented, emotionally uplifting atmosphere. The discussions are stimulating and confidential, and participants always demonstrate support and understanding.
Trained facilitators run all support group meetings, and they often invite expert presenters to sessions. Past presenters include pharmacists, nurses, gastroenterologists, colon and rectal surgeons, psychologists, and alternative health care experts.
If we don't currently have a support group in your area and you would you like to help us, please contact the chapter office at 513-772-3550 to inquire about becoming a trained support group facilitator.
