 Join us on April 5th from 6-9pm at the Alamo Drafthouse to kick-off the Denver Take Steps Walk!

This is a stylish theater for new & classic films, which features cocktails & creative bites served seat-side. This venue will be an excellent location for the upcoming Kickoff Celebration so we hope you can make it.  If you have been or have not attended this event we encourage you to come.  Bring anyone you want who has already registered for the Walk or those who may just want some info for the Take Steps Walk on Saturday, June 18th.

IBD Family Education Day

Registration begins at 12:30 pm

We are excited to announce CCFA and Children’s Hospital Colorado’s IBD Family Education Day at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Aurora Campus, on Sunday, April 24th from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. This program is for parents, caregivers, kids, and siblings dealing with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Check back here for the link to RSVP on Children’s website.

Children's Hospital Colorado's amazing program will cover topics like medications, non-traditional therapies, the psychological impact of IBD, and the day will include an IBD healthcare provider panel and an IBD patient panel.

Kids ages 7 to 18 will be able to stay with their parents for programming on the topics above or join CCFA's concurrent programming for kids and siblings.

Kids and Teen Schedule

1:10 pm to 2:00 pm I am More Than My Disease
This session is led by an experienced CCFA support group facilitator and will include fun ice breakers and the chance for kids to get to know each other and tell their story if they feel comfortable.

2:10 pm to 2:15 Camp Oasis Intro and Break with parents

2:35 to 3:45 pm Camp Oasis Activities
Camp Oasis Counselors and experienced Leaders in Training (LIT’s) will lead kids in silly songs, activities and crafts that we do each summer.

3:45 pm to 4:30 pm In My Experience: a Patient Panel (with parents)

  • CCFA invested $28.4 million in research in 2015 - a 21% year over year increase ($267 million to date)
