We are proud to announce that CCFA has earned Charity Navigator's fifth consecutive 4-star rating. Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that our organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way. Only 6% of the charities that Charity Navigator rates have received 5 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America outperforms most other charities in America. This “exceptional” designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.

Charity Navigator is America's premier charity evaluator. They highlight the fine work of efficient, ethical, and open charities with the goal of providing donors with essential information needed to give them greater confidence in the charitable choices they make. Widely considered one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world, IRONMAN competitions consist of 70.3 or 140.6-miles of consecutive swimming, biking, and running. We are very proud to have two Oklahomans that have chosen to challenge themselves all in the name of finding better treatments and a cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis!

While raising almost $18,000, Katie completed IRONMAN Chattanooga with Team Challenge last year! You can read more about Katie's journey in this wonderful article, Gutting it Out in Chattanooga: Katie Eddins.

Robin is preparing for the 2016 IRONMAN Chattanooga taking place on September 25th and is well on her way to substantially surpassing her fundraising goal! To read more about Robin and her inspiration for participating in this 144.6 mile IRONMAN, please click here.

Thousands of volunteers have helped CCFA accomplish its research, education, and support goals throughout the country. Without our volunteers, we would not have been able to accomplish all of this. You can help us make a difference. Please consider volunteering with the Oklahoma Chapter.
