NY State Senate Sponsorship for Crohn's and Colitis Fairness Act

To support New York Bill #A277/S4918 – Crohn’s and Colitis Fairness Act, amending the public health law to enact the Crohn's and Colitis Fairness Act.

This bill addresses restroom access for those with eligible medical conditions.

The bill is sponsored by Assemblywoman Amy Paulin (D) and Senator Kemp Hannon (R). Help us build support to encourage the NY State Senate and Assembly to support passage of the bill.

Fundraising Pages:

Young Professionals Committee:
Join the Greater New York Chapter Young Professionals! Young people aged 20-40 come together to plan 2 fundraising events per year, along with Happy Hours and other social events. Contact Ed Munoz , 646-388-9282.


Power of Two:                                   

The Power of Two program provides one-to-one short-term support to patients and their families coping with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Individuals participating in the program are matched with volunteers who have had similar challenges and experiences for phone or e-mail conversations. This program is open to adults with IBD as well as parents of children with IBD. We are working to expand this program to serve spouses of people with IBD; if your spouse is an IBD patient and you are willing to be a Power of Two volunteer, we would love to have you!

Volunteer:
The Greater New York Chapter currently needs volunteers for:

  • Adopt-A-Doctor: Drop off CCFA materials at doctors’ offices in New York City. Help ensure that all patients have access to CCFA programs and information.
  • Office assistance: Help out in the Greater New York Chapter Office
  • Event-day assistance: Join us the day of a fundraising or education event to volunteer
  • Event Committees: Join an event committee to help plan a fundraising event.
