The Power of Two program provides one-to-one short-term support to patients and their families coping with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Individuals participating in the program are matched to volunteers who have had similar challenges and experiences for phone or e-mail conversations. This program is open to adults with IBD as well as parents of children with IBD. We are working to expand this program to serve spouses of people with IBD; if your spouse is an IBD patient and you are willing to be a Power of Two volunteer, we would love to have you!

Chapter Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC)
The CMAC was created to act as an ambassador to the local CCFA chapter and IBD community, both lay and medical professionals, to increase awareness of both IBD and CCFA. The CMAC disseminates accurate, current information regarding IBD and CCFA initiatives in research and education as well as assisting in the development of patient and professional education and support programs within their chapter’s jurisdiction.
Goal of the CMAC:
To provide professional insight in the formation of a yearly calendar of chapter educational, support and advocacy activities.
The CMAC is a working committee and as such is composed of active participating physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals.

Advocacy is a major component of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation's mission. Our advocates are not only patients, but family members, friends, caregivers, and doctors who want to make their voices heard and see a future free from Crohn's and colitis.
Foundation advocates are calling for increased Federal funding for Crohn's and colitis research and awareness programs designed to improve the lives of patients. The Foundation encourages its members, volunteers, and friends to become actively involved in advancing our public policy goals. By sharing personal stories and providing crucial information about the impact of these devastating diseases, our advocates inform and inspire elected representatives in Congress.
We've already achieved great success in urging our legislators to implement responsible policies that can transform the lives of some 1.4 million Americans. With your help, we can accomplish even more!
Introducing the new Advocacy Toolkit! A great collection of information regarding advocacy and what you can do!
