SPECIAL EVENTS

Bottoms Up Cocktail Party

Our first ever cocktail fundraising event in the Connecticut Chapter, Bottoms Up, was held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Glastonbury Boathouse. It was a wonderful evening full of delicious food, drinks, entertainment, auction, and presentation of our honoree award to Mr. Jerry Padula, Esq. If you are interested in being involved in our 2017 event as a sponsor or volunteer, please contact Whitney Abel at wabel@ccfa.org or call (860) 759-0232 for more information.

TAKE STEPS

Connecticut Shoreline

Take Steps Connecticut Shoreline took place on Saturday, October 22 at the Guilford Fairgrounds. Thank you to everyone who joined the local IBD community in walking for awareness, support, and cures! This event was a huge success, and we could not have done it without you!

Contact Mary Kate Doherty at 203-376-4336 or mkdoherty@ccfa.org for any questions!

Take Steps would like to thank our generous National Platinum Sponsor:

EDUCATION & SUPPORT

Support

“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”  Brené Brown

Support groups are an ideal way of finding a space where you can feel heard and valued and where others have similar stories to share.  Visit a support group near you and share your story. You can also join our Online Community to read personal stories, join a discussion in a variety of forums, or visit the Online Support Group

Education

Thank you to those who joined CCFA CT for two educational programs this fall! We hope you walked away with more knowledge and support. Keep an eye out for future education events in your area.
