Central Ohio Research Initiative

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America's (CCFA) CentralOhioResearch Initiative provides funding for the most promising research in the field of digestive diseases.  Our National Scientific Advisory Committee awards research grants on the basis of scientific merit to the best and brightest.

And the dollars we generate with the Central Ohio Research Initiative are just the beginning:
    • For every dollar that CCFA invests in IBD research, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) invests six dollars.
    • A recent study found that 92% of CCFA-funded researchers CCFA are still conducting research in the field of IBD, and 88% are still doing research related to their original CCFA grant.
    • For every dollar we raise through the Central Ohio Research Initiative, more than two dollars will come back to researchers in Ohio.

For more information about how you can make an impact in the area of research, please contact Darlene Cronin,, or 614.889.6060, x 2
