Preceptorship

2007-2008 Application Update:   CLOSED

Preceptorship in IBD Rotation
This highly competitive program is designed to provide community-based gastroenterologists a one-on-one, hands on experience in expanding their expertise in inflammatory bowel disease. The program is supported through an unrestricted educational grant from Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals.

These three-day programs are held at leading IBD Centers throughout the country. Past leading IBD Centers have included:

  • Brigham & Women's Hospital
  • Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
  • Cleveland Clinic Foundation
  • Massachusetts General Crohn's & Colitis Center
  • Mayo Clinic College of Medicine
  • Mt. Sinai Medical Center
  • University of Chicago

The program has limited space and is open to 12 participants.

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation will pay for all program-related expenses, including travel, accommodations, and meals as well as a stipend. This is an opportunity to enhance the quality of treatment for Crohn's and colitis patients by following a standard curriculum designed by expert faculty with real-world experience.

All community-based gastroenterologists who want to develop and expand their expertise in managing Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis will be considered but priority will be given to physicians without local access to a tertiary IBD Center.
