IBD Recipies"IBD-Friendly" Recipes That the Whole Family Can Enjoy!

This summer, CCFA was pleased to host "Eating Right with IBD" -- a series of cooking shows sponsored by Salix Pharmaceuticals. These popular shows were held in cities across the country, and were hosted by our local CCFA chapters. Each show included a cooking demonstration of "IBD-friendly" recipes, conducted by Chef Ross Weale, co-author of The Culinary Couple's Creative Colitis Cookbook. This book features one hundred low-fiber, non-dairy recipes for IBD patients. Our Detroit show also featured diet and fitness expert Peter Nielsen, who is also a Crohn's disease patient. A champion bodybuilder and former Mr. Universe, Peter is also the author of a new book entitled Will of Iron: Principles of Healthy Living.

Since our cooking shows were so popular with audiences, we thought we'd share some recipies from it with you! Click on the links to open the recipes:

You can purchase both Chef Weale's and Peter Nielsen's books through CCFA's affiliation with Amazon. Clicking on either of the books below will allow you to order -- and, best of all, contribute to CCFA. Fifteen percent of the price of the books below is contributed to CCFA by Amazon.com.
