Facebook Users Choose Celebrating UC Success Grand Prize Winners

CCFA recently announced the five grand prize winners from the third annual Celebrating UC Success Contest, a program that was created to honor those who have found personal ways to manage their ulcerative colitis (UC). By sharing their UC experience in creative ways, participants were able to educate and inspire other patients and UC supporters to find hope and peace for dealing with the disease. Each of the winners, voted on by over 1,000 Facebook users, opened up about what UC Success means to them. Their heart-warming and life-learning lessons are an inspiration to us all! Important Health Care Information for Patients!

A New Government Health-Care Reform Web site, www.healthcare.gov, allows individuals to search for public and private health insurance plans. The site produces a detailed list of potential coverage options from among 5,500 private plans, as well as the full array of federal and state programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.

On July 1, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced the establishment of a new Pre-existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP) that will offer coverage to uninsured Americans who have been unable to obtain health coverage because of a pre-existing health condition. For more information about how the plan is being administered where you live, visit www.healthcare.gov or read our FAQ about health care reform.
